Lovely cottage in a perfect peaceful setting with lovely views. One of the best areas to stay as close to the scenic moors, steam railway and British Rail line with station conveniently in the next village of Danby, Whitby and coastal resorts. Excellent food at the Fox & Hounds in the village. They even reserved us a couple of roast dinners for theRead more Sunday evening. Unfortunately our week was spoilt slightly by atrocious weather but we made the best of it on the two good weather days. Memorable trip on the Nth Yorks railway from Grosmont to Pickering. Dirlea was very comfortable and well equipped, we very much appreciated the generous welcome pack. The location is ideal with lovely views of the surrounding countryside, and good access to local eateries. Wed certainly stay there again.

The cottage is set in a beautiful location, detached with lovely gardens. It is very handy for Whitby and with Scarborough about 45 mins away. The drive over the moors is well worth doing with easy access to the North Yorks railway at Pickering. We had a really nice stay at this home from home and would definitely return in the future.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The surrounding was very quiet and we enjoyed walk around.
