We had a really lovely time in Thea's Cottage, as a family celebration for my husband's 70th birthday. This is a beautiful cottage in a very rural location. It was really comfortable and well equipped. Three bathrooms were a real bonus as there were 6 of us staying. I would recommend and would definitely return.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Lovely walks straight from the cottage. Welcoming local pubs at Gunnerside and Muker. Lots to visit within a 30 drive. Swaledale is definitely the most scenic of the dales, and Theas cottage is perfectly placed to enjoy all that Swaledale has to offer

A beautiful, spacious cottage for walks, peace and lovely views. Delightful garden which was well cared for. We enjoyed a 45 min walk to The Kings Head in Gunnerside for a pub meal a couple of nights during our stay. No welcome pack, so make sure you take some milk for a cup of tea on arrival! Muker and Keld worth a visit/walk to.

There is a lovely stroll down to Ivelet bridge from the house which was great to do in the evening. This takes you onto Muker and beyond if you keep following the marked path. This was one of those houses that will always keep in mind for future stays and our 3 children immediately asked when we could stay there again. Thank you for keeping such a wonderful property, you have done an amazing job! Hide

The cottage is in a lovely location, wonderful views in every direction and within easy driving distance of several excellent pubs. The electric radiators are efficient in the kitchen/diner and bedrooms when they are on but we found they were not on for enough time, so we had to regularly switch them to manual. Also, the lounge definitely requires lighting the woodburner to achieve a comfortable temperature, this was a bit of a challenge for us as we had no prior experience with woodburners or open fires-luckily the internet came to our rescue!
