Lovely cottage in a fantastic, secluded location close to Semmerwater. The owner had left a generous welcome pack with lots of local goodies. The cottage is comfortable and clean. There is a lot of wildlife around the cottage to watch including a barn owl. Beautiful walking nearby and the cottage is within easy reach of Hawes. We had a really enjoyRead moreable stay. Hide

Truly amazing property to stay. Lovely and remote, in a tiny hamlet within the farm. Views up the hill out of the front awarded us the delight of watching a barn owl some evenings. The dark starry sky at night was beautiful. The back garden was also a great place to sit and relax after a day of walking. The cottage itself was very comfortable andRead more well equipped. Small bathroom but that wasnt an issue for us. Large bedroom with comfortable bed. Sofa in lounge one of the nicest weve had for collapsing into. The local area gave us some great walking. A few miles away was Hawes with its great selection of little shops and pubs. Like everywhere in the Dales, so pretty. Would happily come back here again both for the cottage and this beautiful part of the country. Hide

Nestled in Yorkshire's heart, this remote cottage promised a cozy retreat and delivered splendidly. The surrounding landscapes invited exploration - especially for our two dogs. Hosts added warmth with thoughtful touches, like a selection of local treats. Would (will) visit again without question.

Beautiful, remote location. Comfortable house but could do with a bit of TLC. Shower room is extremely small and anyone larger than 'average' size will struggle. Cooking eqiupment could do with a bit more thought.
