This riverside apartment is set on the ground floor and is both comfortable and quiet. The old town of Whitby is easily accessible for shopping and eating out, while the North York Moors are on your doorstep, making this an ideal getaway for solo travellers or a couple at any time of the year.
From the shared hallway you’ll step into your own entrance hall, where you can leave shoes and coats, then a smartly co-ordinated, open-plan living space adorned with pictures of Whitby. Its Shaker-style kitchen area has plenty of room for cooking up quick suppers or gourmet delights, and while you dine you can look out at the lights of the marina. After supper, head over to the comfy seating and relax - it has a Smart TV if you want to catch up with a movie or a favourite series. At bedtime, there’s a king-sized bedroom and a good-sized bathroom with a shower over the bath. And if you feel like some fresh air you can grab the chairs from the hallway cupboard and take them outside to the small, shared area of grass and enjoy the sounds of sea life while sipping your morning coffee or an evening aperitif.
The apartment is located on the quieter side of Whitby, but only just over half a mile from the centre of town, where medieval cobbled streets are dotted with boutiques, pubs and fish restaurants. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary and discover the spectacular ruins of Whitby Abbey, from which there are gorgeous coastal views. And if you head over the swing bridge to the west side of town, you'll find a lively stretch filled with pubs, arcades and the beautiful West Cliff beach and pier.
