Sit back on the south-facing deck and spot the wildlife in the lakes and parkland that surround this country escape - you’ll see a myriad of birds and fish, and perhaps even a deer, fox or hare. Perfect for couples or small families, the lodge is also close to the shops and restaurants of Beverley and the beaches of Yorkshire’s East Coast.

Set at the edge of the lake and with stunning views, this spacious holiday home has all the amenities you’ll need for a stress-free getaway. In its elegant lounge/diner you’ll find a pair of sofas and a Smart TV for catching up with your favourite shows, as well as an electric fire to take the chill off in the cooler months and a handsome dining table and chairs. The kitchen is equipped with all you’ll need for rustling up delicious holiday meals, and there’s also a handy utility with a washer/dryer. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed with a mirrored wardrobe and a spacious, en-suite shower room, while the double bedroom, which also has a built-in wardrobe, has use of a separate bathroom with a shower over the bath. Enjoy a morning coffee or an evening drink on the wraparound deck, or take your meal outside and enjoy the views over the water while you dine alfresco.

The lodge is located on a holiday park where you can fly fish, take a boat out on the lake or simply enjoy a cake in the tea room. There are walks through the park and a cycle path from the gate, and the small cathedral city of Beverley is just 6 miles away. Great location with ample space inside and outside of the lodge, advertised as a fishing holiday, but very poor availability of fish. Beautiful scenery , with great food in local pubs and restaurants. Comfy beds with a good homely feel

Great location with enormous decking facing right onto the fishing lake. Good amount of outside seating. No fishing peg, unlike some of the other lodges. This is set in the country, so expect the odd spider. After three visits to Heron Lakes we find the cleaners are not the best, so we suggest you quickly inspect the lodge and draw their attention Read moreto any thing short of your expectations. They do happily respond. Very comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. Hide
