Bring the family away for a break to this charming country-style cottage where you can explore both the Yorkshire coast and countryside, with Hornsea Beach just 8 miles away for a fun day out at the seaside. Step inside and the hall leads you through to the bright and airy living room. With a traditional style, two sofas and a living flame gas fireplace, you’ll feel instantly at home and can switch off and spend an evening watching a film. Finishing off the floor is the open-plan kitchen/diner furnished with a table and four feature chairs, as well as chic cabinets and all the modern conveniences you’ll need to cook up a family meal. Take the staircase to the first floor to find the two double bedrooms, neutrally styled and filled with natural light from the windows. A tasteful bathroom completes the upstairs, offering a perfect spot for peace and quiet. When the sun is shining, make the most of the pretty enclosed garden to sit surrounded by greenery and breathe in the fresh air.

For a taste of adventure, walk along the East Riding Coast from Hornsea (8 miles) to Bridlington where you’ll experience the rugged natural beauty of the area on a 14-mile trail. Or, opt for a shorter route with Hornsea to Skipsea just 5 miles apart with its long, narrow beach and fascinating motte and bailey castle. To spend a day at a slower pace, visit Beverley (14 miles) and explore the beautiful architecture, see Beverley Minster and sample the local produce at the weekly market.

I have stayed twice and booked a third visit. I come here with my two small dogs to primarily work - bedroom 3 is an office complete with working printer (bring own ink and maybe paper), keyboard, monitor & mouse - bring your own tower. The cottage is super clean, super warm, modern and fully equipped - a home from home! Lots of places to explorRead moree nearby - beaches & towns. Hornsea being my daily visit to walk dogs in the huge park (free parking) whish is also in the town centre and 10 mins walk to beach. Range of small shops and then a 5 mins drive to large Tesco for provisions and fuel. Hide
