Located on the east side of the River Esk in the picturesque ‘old town’, this holiday let is in a quintessential, pedestrian, Whitby lane, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the harbour goings on, cafes, shops and attractions aplenty. Inside, the property provides a revitalising elixir with a soft palette and homely touches; each room is carefully styled so that everywhere you look, there is a lovely nod to something local and evocative of the seaside.
Perfect for both short breaks and longer holidays, the property has a ground-floor entrance which takes you to a metal staircase to the first floor. You’ll enter into the hallway where there’s a utility cupboard and more space to store belongings. Move through to the good-sized kitchen which has a breakfast bar for two – great for socialising with the chef whilst they’re cooking. Serve up in the dining room which has space for all six guests and is also a great spot for some post-dinner board games. The living room has a sofa, a large armchair/loveseat, two padded chairs, a coffee table, a reading lamp and a Smart TV so you can connect to your own TV accounts. This floor is completed by a handy WC. The second floor is reached via a staircase and houses all three bedrooms. These comprise two double and a bunk room with a single bed over a double bed. All the rooms have Smart TVs and there is a family bathroom to share.
Whitby is a popular choice for visitors all year round. It is well known for its long sandy beach and delicious seafood. The River Esk flows through the town to the sea and cottages are perched on the hills on each side, with cobbled streets and historic yards providing a maze of places to explore. The town has a fantastic mix of modern shops and services, traditional stores and boutique shops. Whitby jet continues to be made into beautiful jewellery and sold in a number of shops. There are plenty of excellent restaurants which serve local fish and seafood, as well as a wonderful choice of cafes and tearooms.
