Property code: OC-DS1055

Take a romantic retreat and stay in this enticing studio on the fringes of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Sleeping two guests, the one-bedroom, single-storey retreat is 3 miles from Settle. With far-reaching, countryside views, it has an outdoor seating area where you can relax in the fresh air with a cup of tea and slice of Yorkshire parkin after your summer excursions.

Pull yourselves away from the picturesque views and enter the bijou hideaway to find yourselves in the bright kitchen where you can unpack any provisions you have brought with you, put the kettle on and wander through to the open-plan lounge/diner/bedroom. This is a light and lovely space where you can sit back on the sofa in here to watch the Smart TV for a while or simply absorb the magnificent views. Dine together at the table on those evenings you choose to stay in and, when you are ready to retire, head over to the king-size bed for a good night’s sleep. There is also a stylish shower room with walk-in shower and illuminated mirror. Outside, there is a patio to enjoy a morning coffee and also parking for one car at the property.

The picturesque village of Giggleswick has gorgeous views over Pen y Ghent and two good pubs to get some refreshment. Further afield, spend an afternoon in Settle, browsing in the shops, visiting the museum and perhaps choosing an eatery to dine out in later on. Enjoy a long walk beside the river here too. Take time out to see Scaleber Force Waterfall, 4.5 miles from your base, and plan a trip out to Malham, 9.5 miles away and deep in the Yorkshire Dales. This popular village is right on the Pennine Way. While you are here, visit the enchanting Janet’s Foss waterfall and pool and the striking gorge at Gordale Scar. Head out to Malham Cove, a curved, limestone rock formation, 10 miles from your accommodation, and Malham Tarn, a scenic lake, 9.5 mile miles away, while you are here too.
