Discover the exceptional beauty of Swaledale when you escape to this gorgeous group holiday home with your nearest and dearest. Sleeping 10 guests, the five-bedroom property at Muker, is the perfect place for a larger party of family members or friends, especially one wishing to bring a four-legged friend. With a wood burner for toasty nights in playing games together and an outdoor seating space overlooking the village green, it makes a wonderful Yorkshire Dales base at any time of year.

Enter at ground-floor level to find this stone cottage has a reverse-level design. Leave your walking boots in the hall and discover a king-size bedroom, with en-suite shower room, is also down here. Another king-size bedroom, with en-suite shower room, is on the floor above and then the splendid lounge/kitchen/diner is on the second floor. Here you can prepare hearty feasts for your party, set the table for lively meals together and kick back and relax in front of the Smart TV, with the wood burner roaring in the background. Another staircase leads down the other side of the house to two super-king-size bedrooms that can also be made up as twins if discussed in advance, and a family bathroom. Down another level to the ground floor is an additional king-size and en-suite shower room. Make fresh coffee in the machine when you awake and carry it outside to enjoy as you watch the village come to life. There is parking for three cars with the cottage.

Organise group walks through Swaledale from the doorstep. The famous Buttertubs Pass, with its stunning views, is 3 miles from your base, while the renowned Aysgarth Falls are 10 miles away. Head into Hawes, 8 miles from your base, to wander round the shops, dine out and visit the famous Wensleydale Creamery.

Great cottage - our 37th annual Boys Walking Weekend with 7 of us enjoying this fabulous Dales location. 2 of the double beds hadn't been made up as twins, as requested, but a quick phone call to Original Cottages and it was resolved.

Our whole family, young and old, loved this cottage, we had a fantastic few days here for my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary. The cottage is pristine and very well maintained. All the bedrooms are a good size with comfy beds. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, plenty of crockery for 10, including two kettles so that you can brewRead more up for everyone at once, a very nice touch! The living room and dining room can seat 10 at once comfortably. Muker offers beautiful views and walks, the local pub, The Farmers Arms, literally a 2 min walk from the cottage, is very welcoming and serves delicious meals. There is also a tearoom (we didnt get chance to visit) and local village shop. We would love to stay again. Hide

Lovely cottage and would definitely stay again. Lots of steep stairs, so not suitable for those with mobility issues. But a great space for family and friends groups, especially the open plan kitchen/dining/seating area on the second floor. Fantastic views across the valley.
