Cygnet Cottage is a lovely cottage right in the middle of Helmsley with easy access both to the shops, restaurants and pubs as well as great walking from the door. The bedrooms are very comfortable and all ensuite. The living area is well set up but a little small for 6. We had a great week.

Cygnet cottage was clean and comfortable, but there were only 4 of us, the ground floor would have been a bit of a squeeze if there'd been 6 of us. It is nicely decorated and has god quality bedding and towels. It's ideally located for the pretty market town, which has some excellent restaurants and lovely shops

A wonderful stay in a very well situated warm cottage, a very short stroll to the town square and its many shops and restaurants, with the added benefit of onsite parking.

We had a lovely weeks stay at Cygnet Cottage. The location is superb, quiet and secluded with private parking, but with easy access to wonderful Helmsley. The property is modern and comfortable. We will probably return.

Only reasons we didnt give top marks were : there wasnt enough comfortable seating for 5 adults in living area, could do with removing the sideboard/drawer unit & putting a bigger sofa in that space instead, TV quite high up on wall neck aching after a while, No kettle, not all of us confident in using the Quooker tap, boiling hot. Couldnt operateRead more the heating in the loft/master suite, not a major problem as ithe weather was kind to us whilst staying there, ,no TV in there either, could do with a small shelf in the bathroom to put toothbrush & toothpaste on. as sink is very close to the toilet . Other than that the property was fabulous, location perfect & we all enjoyed our stay there. Hide

Not a cottage but a very nice and well equipped modern townhouse in a great location. Would have preferred central heating instead of underfloor heating because direct heating is quicker to warm you after a cold day out. Easy to find and about 5 minute walk to the market square which has a well stocked CoOp and a fantastic butcher selling fresh meaRead moret and lovely baked goods and sandwiches. We loved the takeout coffee from Barkers cafe too. Lovely enough to drink black Hide
