There was a problem with the heating/boiler and the cottage could not get above 13 degrees. Thankfully a fan heater in the snug enabled us to huddle in there the 1st evening. But the rest of the cottage was icy. A phone call to the office resulted in a maintenance man calling and by lunchtime had adjusted the boiler settings and bled the radiators.Read more ( the radiator in the main bathroom remained cold) It took the rest of the day for the temperature to rise to 18 degrees. There was also no promised starter pack of logs on arrival so we were unable to light the open fire. This again was resolved the next day. Could we suggest a non slip mat for the en-suite bathroom? One of our party skidded - she is in her mid 70s so this could have been a disaster. A glass cafetire would also have been welcome. But the furnishings and fittings were generally very plush! Hide
