This is a great base for walking in the Dales. A great town with many pubs, bars and eateries. Settle is surrounded by amazing hills and spectacular views. We parked opposite the cottage to unload and the moved the car down near the station, a short walk from the cottage. The cottage itself was super warm and the shower was very powerful, loved iRead moret. It was good to have space for hanging coats and storing our footwear, the big door mat was also very helpful, giving us room to remove muddy boots without messing up the carpets. We took the bus to Kirkbylonsdale on market day (Thursday) and to Austwick, where we walked across to Feizor to Elaines tea rooms and then on back to Settle. On the bus some holiday makers from down South asked their teenage son, do you think you could live somewhere like this? He replied without much thought, no, theres no tubes!!!!! Exactly the reason to stay in Gods own country. Thank you for letting us stay in your cottage. More memories made of our beloved Settle. Hide

This cottage was fantastic, it was very clean. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked, had everything you could need. Nice and quiet area - no noise at all so slept well. Plenty of space. The owners even put a pint of milk in the fridge ( which was much appreciated on arrival ) tea and coffee and dog biscuits, which the dogs appreciated
