Right in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales is the pretty Wensleydale village of Askrigg, where you will find this characterful cottage. Whether your family of four enjoy getting active by walking and cycling, or simply spending days meandering the towns and relaxing, this pretty, family-friendly cottage is the perfect base.

The entrance to this distinctive holiday let is through the rear door, where you will find a hallway with space for coats and boots. The bright and airy kitchen/diner is situated just off here with everything you need to rustle up hearty breakfasts or make delicious home-cooked dinners. The first of the three bedrooms is situated on this level, a single with plenty of storage space, as well as a family bathroom with a separate shower and bath. A lounge is situated on the first floor, with a warming electric fire and plenty of comfortable seating for all guests to relax and plan the days ahead. A handy WC, a single bedroom, and the master bedroom with a double bed and a Smart TV complete the accommodation. Outside of the property is a fabulous courtyard with a table and seating, and a lockable bike storage shed.

Askirgg is home to a couple of pubs, shops, and a local brewery, all within 500 metres of the property. Further afield, you can find the market town of Hawes (5.5 miles), the interesting Dales Countryside Museum, and Wensleydale Creamery. Challenge yourselves to a tough climb of Great Shunner Fell (7.5 miles) or visit the cascading Aysgarth Falls (5 miles).

Great little cottage, well equipped, close to village shops, cafe and pubs. Many great walks from door step. Lots of little extras such as outside dining area, book of local walks, games, welcome pack.

Very comfortable, newly renovated, well appointed cottage with stunning countryside views. It was much more spacious than we were expecting. Perfect for a couples weekend away or small family. Well equipped kitchen, disappointing welcome pack, no tea towel or kitchen towel provided. May be an idea to leave one dishwasher tablet for use.

Cottage was extremely comfortable and had everything required for a relaxing stay. The location was superb with lovely walks right from the door. The village has several places to eat and drink and a small shop for everyday items and newspapers. The Kings Arms deserves special mention for the excellent Sunday lunch and local Askrigg Ales. Parking sRead morepace was a good bonus but access was a bit tight from the narrow lane, would not recommend it for a large SUVs. Hide
