Treat yourself to a luxurious getaway in this stylish apartment, only half a mile from Whitby’s golden, sandy beach. Two bedrooms sleep up to four guests in pure comfort and a large open-plan living space boasts breathtaking views of the sea through its vast floor-to-ceiling windows. On warm, sunny days there’s very little that tops sitting out on the balcony watching the boats drift across the horizon.

As you arrive, take your pick from the staircase or lift to the apartment entrance on the second floor. Make yourselves right at home in the open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room, settling on one of the sofas in front of the enormous bi-folding doors. Switch on the Smart TV and catch up on some box sets or admire the waves crashing in the distance. The kitchen space offers everything you could need to whip up home-cooked delights and a wooden dining table provides a sociable place to dine. At bedtime, you can choose between a king-size with an en-suite shower room and a twin, and there is also a family bathroom. To enjoy a drink in the fresh sea air, wander out to the balcony where you’ll find a table and chairs for two, perfectly placed to make the most of the views.

Within a mile of the apartment, the ruins of Whitby Abbey give an insight into the town's rich history, with its gothic beauty having inspired Bram Stoker's novel, Dracula. It can be accessed by climbing 199 steps from the old town and offers stunning views of the coastline. In the town, cobbled streets and historic yards make up a maze of places to explore. Boutique and independent shops rub shoulders with traditional stores, the well-known Whitby Jet is on sale everywhere, and there are plenty of excellent restaurants and cafes full of local fish and seafood.

Basic handwash/soap not provided. Clean sea view apartment in a good location, although lots of bird droppings on the small balcony. Car parking a bonus.

Lovely flat with wonderful view of the sea and very comfortable bed. We weren't made aware that the one key provided opened both the front door and the flat door. Front door was difficult at times to open. No instructions provided for how to turn on heating and flat lacked some kitchen equipment for self catering, no casserole or roasting pan.

A really nice modern apartment in a great location for a visit to Whitby. Well equipped and very clean. We were 4 adults and I would say more targeted at 2 adults/2 children, as all 4 adults had to use shower in the ensuite. The location of this apartment is great with easy access to West Cliff and basic facilities. We would certainly be happy to stay here again

A very disappointing holiday, though we cannot fault the letting agency, who were very supportive, and unaware of the ongoing work at the property. We arrived to find that there was major maintenance going on, the front of the building was covered in scaffolding, the floor to ceiling windows covered in layers of plastic. We had not been informed Read moreof this. On arrival the heating was not working, it took until the following afternoon to get this sorted, and unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we were very cold. The lift doors would not open at the level of our apartment, so all our luggage had to be carried upstairs. There was a large patch of damp in the open plan living area. The seating area on the balcony was unusable due to the very large amount of bird dropping covering both the floor, and the furniture. All in all a holiday best forgotten. Hide
