Escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy this beautiful spot amongst breathtaking scenery in the Yorkshire countryside. Your group of five friends or family will love this charming home that boasts superb views and a delightful summerhouse.

Step into the entrance hall of this holiday home, where you can hang your coats and place your walking boots, before heading through to the open-plan kitchen/diner. This bright and airy space combines character in the way of beams and exposed brickwork, with contemporary fixtures and furnishings. Cook up tasty dinners or prepare filling breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen, sit around the dining table, or take a seat on the sofa in front of the Smart TV at one end of this room. A separate lounge provides further comfortable seating, as well as a warming wood burner and a further TV with all the mod cons you need. A handy WC is also provided. Heading downstairs, you will find the three bedrooms. Choose from a super-king-size bedroom, a double bedroom, or a single bedroom, while a family bathroom completes the interior. Outside is a wonderful summerhouse with table and chairs, the perfect spot for al fresco dining. There are also two separate outdoor seating areas with lovely views over the surrounding fields.

Situated 1 mile from the little village of Carperby, this retreat is in a quiet spot but within easy reach for everything you will need. A handy pub/restaurant is situated in Carperby, but for further amenities, visit the wonderful market town of Hawes (8.5 miles). Head off on foot or bike and enjoy the varying trails and routes leading through the Yorkshire Dales, a particular favourite in the area is the Muker to Keld circular walk (8 miles) along the River Swale.

Large, characterful upside down cottage with off road parking. Great amount of space inside with lovely fireplace in the living room. Kitchen area was like another living room with a sofa and TV. The cottage is clean, modern yet cosy and within moments of many beautiful walks. This is our second visit to Ballowfield and weve already booked to return for a fortnight next year

Thanks for welcome package. Enjoyed our stay in the area, a return visit after many years. Nice cottage to come back to at the end of 4-6 hour walking days. Walk to Askrigg and first cuckoo of 2023 one of our most memorable.

Ballowfield Barn was warm, comfortable, homely, clean and we had the best nights sleeps in the most comfortable of beds! Would definitely stay here again. The countryside is beautiful even in cold damp weather. Loved it!

Lovely cottage in a great peaceful location. Plenty of walks nearby. The cottage has everything you need and was very clean. The layout was very well thought out too allowing for great views from the living room. Would love to stop here again.

This is our second visit to this beautiful cottage. The children love looking for sheep and rabbits out of the windows! We have been very lucky with the weather and had lots of great walks. We can recommend fish & chips from the van! We'll be back again!

A wonderful week - we have experienced all four seasons! We had a pleasant drink at Reeth in bright sunshine and one hour later were struggling to navigate the roads back to the barn due to snow drifts - amazing!! Great walk to Askrigg and back. We highly recommend The Sandpiper at Leyburn and the Mill Race tea shop at Aysgarth. Watching the stoat Read moreplaying in the snow will stay with us forever. Thank you. Hide

This is an amazing property, spacious, well-equipped, and of a very high standard. It had everything we needed and we all enjoyed staying here over Christmas.. the views from the living room were spectacular and it was great to watch the sheep grazing in the fields when we were having breakfast. We would definitely book this property again.

Wonderful four day break at Ballowfield Barn. The cottage is super comfortable and very well equipped, great location for lots of walks. Walk from the cottage to Aysgarth falls, particularly enjoyable and the Leyburn shawl circular a must. Lovely lunch also at the Three Horseshoes in Wensley.

A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. One of the most impressive things is the quality of all the furniture - solid, well made, lovely to look at. The beds were outstanding! The kitchen was also very well equipped with quality stuff. We're definitely planning on going back soon!

What a lovely cosy, clean & full equipped cottage & stunning views too! weather was mixed, mostly dry & sunny & we managed to walk everyday. Beautiful walks from Castle Bolton to Askrigg & in Muker & Gunnerside. Excellent morning coffee & yummy cakes in Bakewells in Askrigg.
