Head off along the Roman Road that stretches through here and down to Semerwater (2.5 miles) where you can try out water sports such as paddleboarding and kayaking on the reservoir. The market town of Hawes (4 miles) dates back to 1307 and is a lovely spot to find tasty food, explore markets, and visit the famous Wensleydale Creamery (4.5 miles).
