A beautiful little hideaway. Perfect for 4 adults, spacious upstairs room, living room and kitchen area, we all had enough space to relax without being next to someone all the time. The hot tub has amazing views and wed watch the cows returning to the farm in the evening. Very well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. Lovely decor whichRead more was just right for the barn, it made it feel like home. We didnt use the outdoor games, but they are a wonderful addition which Ive not seen before. Hide

We really enjoyed our stay at Pear barn. It is a great base for exploring North Yorkshire- Robin Hoods bay a 5/10 minute drive, and Whitby 25 mins. Unfortunately the hot tub was broken but we were told in advance and given the chance to cancel. We are so glad we didnt because the barn and location were amazing regardless. Our children enjoyed theRead more drive up to the cottage looking at the cows and would always go and look at them after a day out. The cottage was clean and spacious , we all slept well in the comfortable beds. It was so quiet and peaceful. We were blessed by lovely weather. The field next to the house where you can exercise your dogs is a bonus, and you could take a picnic and sit there all day in the sunshine and be more than content , taking in the views enjoying the peace. I would gladly return again and highly recommend. Hide

We have stayed in a number of Holiday Cottage properties, and I would put this particular property at the bottom of the list. There did not appear to be any attention to detail.

Cottage was very comfortable and felt like being at home. I was surprised at how spacious it. We loved the long drive up to the cottage with cows grazing freely. Cottage was very well equipped and even had a Nespresso machine and WiFi was a bonus. Decor was perfect. Settees and beds were very comfortable with crisp cotton bedding. Hot tub was aRead moren added bonus and lovely to use whilst sipping prosecco which was left as welcome gift. Fruit cake was also appreciated. Weather could have been better but there was also an array of games to play or weather permitting giant chess/draughts outside. I would definitely return. Hide

Fantastic peaceful location and owners helpful and keen to look after their guests. Comfortable property with lots of amenity albeit could do with an upgrade to the living room TV and kitchen / bathrooms showing their age a little. That said, everywhere was clean, tidy and perfectly in keeping with the price point and star rating. We'd certainly goRead more back. Hide

Fabulous cosy cottage in the perfect location. The views from the cottage windows are spectacular, you can sit in the hot tub and watch the sun rise ! Amazing experience. Owners nearby but never interfered other than a lovely polite warm welcome as we arrived. Very happy that we chose Pear Barn , wished we had stayed longer . We will be back .

Cottage was cosy, and so quiet, loved the hot tub and the enclosed garden. Met the owner during the stay very pleasant and helpful.
