For a design-focused cottage that’s rich in architectural history, visit this marvellous 19th-century chapel that’s been thoroughly updated to create a modern holiday home. Complete with handsome brickwork, arched windows and a proud position just off Bainbridge’s village green, this accommodation offers an exceptional place to stay for any Yorkshire-bound group of friends or family. Spread out over three storeys, discover four exceptionally well-presented bedrooms hosting a maximum of five guests, ideal for those who prefer their own space when holidaying. The property has been equipped with all the required mod-cons, including special features such as integrated speakers in the bathrooms.

Step inside to be greeted by a handy downstairs bathroom and a utility room with laundry facilities, a welcome sight after a long walk in the Yorkshire elements. There’s also the first of the four bedrooms down here, a handsome double with a Smart TV. Find a further Smart TV up on the first floor, located in the lovely lounge/diner. Accompanied by an Amazon Echo, cushy seating and a wood burner, this room is always ready to host an utterly relaxing evening in. No night in is complete without a delicious dinner and chefs will adore preparing signature dishes in the hand-crafted kitchen next door. Finally, venture up onto the second floor to reach three further bedrooms and the final bathroom.

Set deep in the Wensleydale Valley, just 5 miles outside of Hawes, Bainbridge is a fantastic village from which to explore the epic Yorkshire Dales National Park. Lace up your walking boots and follow the winding River Ure down to Aysgarth Falls (6 miles), or venture down to Semerwater (2.5 miles) for an easy walk or the chance to embark on some water sports. For families, the incredibly popular tourist attraction of The Forbidden Corner is just a short drive away (13 miles).

The cottage is in a great spot for visiting the Dales, with many walks from the door. The cottage was very warm and cosy and we looked forward to returning their after a busy day out exploring.

A great week in a really friendly cottage. Everything was beautifully done & there were lots of personal touches which made it very homely. The owners have obviously put a lot of thought into the cottage. Thanks for a lovely week!

Lovely cottage with everything we needed. Excellent location. Plenty space for two people. Would say it is too small for seven people. Perhaps too many nic nacs around so some things were dusty e.g. plants. Less of these would create more work top space too. Nothing spoiled our holiday though.
