Nestled on the cliff tops of the North Yorkshire Coast, this comfortable cottage offers a wonderful seaside retreat suitable for groups and families. Relax in the sociable open-plan living space or dine alfresco in the private garden against a backdrop of spectacular sea views.

Step inside and into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with French doors that open onto the patio and a wood burner-effect electric fire that adds a cosy ambience to the room. Two colourful double bedrooms, one with garden and sea views, and a convenient downstairs bathroom complete the ground floor. Upstairs, there are two small single bedrooms, which overlook the ocean, along with a contemporary shower room. The garden is a highlight of the property, with plenty of space to relax and unwind. French doors lead to a paved patio area, with stairs descending to another seating area. Beyond is a large lawn with additional seating, offering an open view of fields and the sea, the perfect spot to enjoy the breeze and soak up the sunshine.

Located in Port Mulgrave, village shops, restaurants, and the local pub are all within a mile of your door. A scenic 1.5-mile cliff-top walk along the Cleveland Way leads to the sandy beach and charming red-roofed houses of Runswick Bay. In the opposite direction, the quaint fishing village of Staithes, known for its fabulous dining options and working harbour, is less than 2 miles away. For a livelier atmosphere, the historic seaside town of Whitby is a 10-mile drive along the coast, where you can bask on golden sands or explore the ruins of the Medieval abbey that stands watch on the cliffs overlooking the town. Alternatively, head inland and explore the hills and dales of the North York Moors and discover the rugged beauty of this national park.

Cosy cottage with the best sea views ever. The enclosed garden is great for kids and dogs and I imagine it would be lovely sitting out there in the warm summer months. Quiet and peaceful location (which we enjoyed) and you can walk to the nearest beach at Staithes, a lovely, friendly fishing village. The Cod and Lobster serves great food at very Read morereasonable prices. My husband, daughter, 11 year old grandson and I thoroughly enjoyed our break by the sea, as did our dog. Hide

Very good location for walks along the Cleveland way coastal path, and also for the short drives to Whitby and Robin hood's bay.

A lovely bungalow and a really picturesque little village, opening the curtains and seeing that amazing sea view first thing in a morning was great, due to us having a young baby and 2 dogs we travelled up in 2 cars and with there only being 1 parking space I was a little concerned about, however theres a road leading onto the street where you can Read morepark. Overall I would thoroughly recommend Hide
