This romantic retreat enjoys a fabulous, central location, just off one of Whitby’s main shopping streets. This excellent setting means you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat, with a fabulous selection of independent cafes, bars, and restaurants on your doorstep. You’ll also be just 0.5 miles from one of Whitby’s gorgeous, sandy beaches. From the property, it’s easy to enjoy excursions to Robin Hood’s Bay, Staithes, and Scarborough (all within 20 miles).

The second-floor apartment is decorated in a contemporary style, with cool tones and elegant furniture creating a calm, relaxed vibe. Two flights of stairs lead to the accommodation, which has a bright, open-plan layout. Spend time in the lounge/kitchen/diner creating delicious dishes from local produce, dining together at the table by the window, or snuggling up on the plump sofa to watch a movie on the Smart TV. When it’s time for bed, retire to the inviting double bedroom, complete with a stylish shower room. There is no outside space with this property, but with the harbour and beach just a short stroll away, you’ll have plenty of choice when it comes to walks from your front door.

Head to the harbour to watch the fishing boats going about their day, or perhaps hop on a boat trip to go wildlife watching (there are regular sightings of seals, dolphins, and even whales off the coast). Whitby train station is just 400 metres from your front door. Here, you can board one of the heritage steam trains to head deep into the North York Moors, to explore the cute towns and villages or take long hikes through the unspoilt moorland. Alternatively, stride out on a coastal walk from Whitby, following The Cleveland Way to the idyllic smugglers’ haunt of Robin Hood’s Bay (6 miles).

Myself and partner visited and absolutely loved the property. It was modern and clean and had all the home from home essentials needed to make our break comfortable. The location was excellent, we couldn't have wishes for any better position for ease of access to multiple restaurants, shops and sites. Whilst parking wasn't available, it was around Read more9 per day with free overnight stays in the local car park, just a few minutes walk. It was also a great addition to have the SMART TV for a cosy night after a day of walking/exploring. The only criticism was the position of the fridge door opening to the right but having furniture blocking an easy approach from the front - I felt like I was having to limbo to gain access and my partner who has back problems found the twisting action to reach around the door and past furniture difficult. Very modern and fully equipped apartment rite in the heart of Whitby. Owner very helpful and a welcome gift a nice touch. Downside is its 3 flights if very steep narrow stairs from ground level and there is no designated parking. You can park in W zone with scratch card but these are found up the top of Whitby on west cliff.

Fantastic property. The central location meant that we had every shop on our doorstep and the quick walk across town to the abbey was lovely. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a central location.

Admiral 2 apartment was 5 star, But the stairs were very steep and difficult for my wife, The access statement said 2 no steps to the front door, these have been taken away and left a 12" step up which is very high for someone with mobility issues, please put it right in the access statement, thank you.

Over all most things were good, the property could have done with a few more items e.g serving spoons, a jug for mixing things, a bottle of liquid hand soap would have been good. The main entrance doors long handle was a bit loose with having to pull door closed.
