An inviting redbrick cottage with a leafy patio garden, nestled in a peaceful neighbourhood on the fringes of Whitby. This homely hideaway is perfect for young families or couples holidaying with a couple of waggy-tailed companions. Embark on a gentle saunter along the light-dappled trails surrounding the striking Larpool Viaduct (within 200 metres), before indulging in an al fresco summer spread perched on the patio bench seat.

This welcoming property features a warm cottage interior with richly pigmented tones, bright rooms, and dark wood detailing. Hang bags and jackets in the porch then venture into the thoughtfully styled lounge/diner. Thumb through a guidebook perched at the glossy dining before popping a bottle of fizz and settling in for a celebratory supper. After dinner, sink onto the well-lived leather sofas and delve into a dessert while your snoozy pups stretch out on the plush rug. In winter months, snuggle up in the warmth of the wood burner-effect electric fire or perch by the window with a novel. For nights eating in, stroll beneath the archway and enjoy rustling up snacks or pouring tipples in the modern kitchen. Ascend the staircase to find two relaxing bedrooms, including a bright double bedroom and a cosy twin. Bask in the morning sunshine from the lush patio or gear up for lawn games on the stretch of shared garden at the front of the property.

Stroll the bustling Whitby Harbour (2.5 miles) and scoff a bag of salty chips on the waterfront or explore the spooky local surroundings as you step inside the immersive Dracula Experience (2.5 miles). Pad barefoot alongside the colourful huts lining the shore of Whitby Beach (2.5 miles) or mark your special occasion with a sunset seafood dinner on the Sandsend beachfront (4 miles).

The cottage is well presented and ideal for getting out to places around Whitby. It is quiet and provided us with a good base to rest and relax.

Lovely little cottage. Very warm and welcoming. Great amenities, location and on site staff. The welcome pack was a nice little touch, with useful information on where to go in the local area. Would definitely visit again.

What a hidden gem. Stunning location on a quiet and welcoming complex. Right under the Larpool Viaduct. The cottage had everything you needed to make it a real home from home. Hot shower. Really comfy mattress. Cosy as. Watched the ducks and squirrels as we ate our meals. The swimming pool was an added bonus and swam there every day. You do have toRead more pay 20 a week but it was worth every penny as at times it was just us two. And I'm sure it costs lots to heat. Easy access to all beauty spots. Whitby (Try the Magpie cafe), Whitby Abbey and brewery, Scarborough, the Cinder track, the steam trains, Staithes and Robin Hoods Bay. Just fabulous. A large Sainsburys is a 5 min drive. Aldi too. We highly recommend staying in this beautiful cosy cottage. Hide

The location is perfectand plenty of walks from the cottage and great having a laundry on site. In the Picture you said enclosed garden that it why we chose it and when we arrived it was not enclosed only a bench set and a couple of fencing panels so the picture was incorrect. also it was stated that is was a king size bed which it was not.

The cottage was ideally placed for walking into Whitby - car parking essential and the property accepted dogs.my only complaint was the security lights outside, you didnt need to use lights inside the property, maybe lined or blackout curtains-loved the pictures around the Whitby area, fantastic cottage had everything we needed, thank you
