This bright and airy holiday home is a fantastic base from which to explore the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales. Return home at the end of each day to sink into the comfortable corner sofa and get cosy by the wood burner for total relaxation. Situated in the charming market town of Hawes, where there are quaint tearooms, a weekly market and a lovely selection of independent shops to peruse at your leisure.
The dual-aspect living room is a breath of fresh air with large windows allowing the natural light to pour in, pretty soft furnishings and a crackling wood burner in the centre adding to the ambience. Whilst the lounge is a great place to relax, the kitchen/diner offers a more social space with a large dining table for feasting and a traditional Rayburn retaining much of its original charm. Bedroom one is a neutrally styled dual-aspect room which has flexible arrangements which can be made up as a king-size bed or a twin, enjoying far-reaching views of the countryside beyond. Next door is the single bedroom and a narrow staircase leading through to the nature-inspired attic room which also benefits from adaptable zip-and-link beds. A bathroom completes the property with a rainfall shower head over a fabulous free-standing bath. Outside is a small courtyard garden with a bench for you to sit and soak in the views.
From the town of Hawes, there is a challenging circular waterfall walk to Aysgarth Falls (10 miles) to see the three-tiered waterfall in all its glory – visiting three waterfalls allows you to leave the car at home for a day of adventure. The Hawes Mosaic Trail is also easily accessible and a lovely way to get out and explore your immediate surroundings. For the foodies, Wensleydale Creamery (half a mile) is a must-visit where you can sample the goods, learn about how their fine cheese is made and dine out in the restaurant and cafe.
