Experience the Yorkshire countryside from this charming property overlooking Stags Fell with your friends, family and four-legged friend in tow. Hawes (1 mile) is a hub of life with tearooms serving up tasty treats, a weekly market and plenty of other places to visit including access to the picturesque Pennine Way walking trail.

The main living room is made for relaxation, with two sumptuous sofas, a Smart TV and a cosy wood burner for chilly winter evenings. Next door, the open-plan kitchen/diner is a great social space, with a modern kitchen equipped with everything you’ll need to fix meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a country-style dining table right next to the window. In addition to the living room, there is a snug with a wood burner and TV where you can take some time out, read a book and enjoy the views of the garden. Upstairs, the master bedroom features a double bed and two quaint window seats with a colour palette inspired by the greenery of the Dale. Two further bedrooms are furnished with twin beds with large windows filling the room with natural light. The final bedroom is a dual-aspect double with a characterful beamed ceiling in neutral colours creating a calming space to sleep. Completing the property is a therapeutic bathroom with a comfortable p-shaped bath and a revitalising rainfall showerhead.

The cheese lovers of the family will delight in the opportunity to visit the Wensleydale Creamery (less than half a mile) to see the process and sample the goods in the shop and cafe. Head off on a hunt for the local waterfalls of Aisgill Falls and Gayle Falls which lie a mile apart on a beautiful walking trail spanning just over 8 miles, with Cotter Force 3 miles into the route. Alternatively, head to Hawes (1 mile) and you can take the circular walking trail to Stags Fell itself, visiting Hardraw Force, England’s highest waterfall on the way for an active adventure.

Fantastic cottag. Certainly lived up to our expectations. Only downsides were:- Toaster not working, No coffee machine. Low pressure showers. Also the bin lid is on its last legs
