Celebrate with your loved ones in this charming Victorian cottage in the lively coastal town of Scarborough. Sleeping six people over three bedrooms, this is a perfect accommodation option for families or groups of friends who want to mark a special occasion with an unforgettable break on the beautiful Yorkshire coast. Spend happy days strolling along the beach or checking out the local art gallery; and in the evening, come home and spend some quality time star-gazing with your loved ones in the cottage’s pretty garden.

Step inside and you’ll be greeted by the welcoming, spacious lounge with a beautiful bay window overlooking the courtyard. Take a moment to relax and make yourself at home before heading to the country-style kitchen to create a special dinner for everyone. While you’re cooking you can enjoy the views over the pretty cobbled courtyard. Get the whole gang together at an oak dining table to enjoy a touch of fine dining. After dinner, step out into the courtyard to enjoy a glass of wine, head back to the lounge to chill out in front of the TV, or go downstairs and have a little quiet time in the cosy snug. At the end of the day, climb up the stairs and you’ll find three lovely to choose from – two double and one king that can be transformed into twin beds.

Experience a nostalgic trip on the Scarborough Spa Cliff Lift (1.5 miles), a funicular railway that connects the Spa Complex to South Bay Beach. Take in the beautiful scenery as you glide effortlessly up or down the cliff. Alternatively, enjoy a peaceful stroll around Peasholm Park (2 miles), a stunning space that boasts a lovely lake, glorious gardens and a pretty pagoda.

We found Mews Cottage very roomy and comfortable. Lovely bed and bedding. Being able to close the gates and let our little dog sit out was a bonus. Mrs S found the staircase very difficult quite steep and short treads, not easy for the elderly. Local area is quite rundown but is central for all Scarborough attractions.

We love it! In fact this was are second stay . It is very spacious.It has a large living room, dinning room even the games room is large (if a little cold when the weather is bad) All bedroom are large and have double beds . If you are taking a dog , you will need to bring your dog's bed/crate . Scarborough seafront is in walking distance and tRead morehe local shop is just a couple of streets away.co Very nice place to stay and we would highly recommend Mews Cottage. Hide

A lovely cottage with plenty of room for 6 of us. Equipment provided was extensive plus a variety of games and books were available. It was fantastic to get parking, such a plus. Everything was clean and tidy.

Very spacious and well equipped. Ideal for larger groups as 2 showers and 3 toilets meant no queuing required! Good for exploring Scarborough as beach and town centre within walking distance though on the quieter side of town so need a car if looking to go out to a pub or for a meal in the evening. Parking for a SUV in the courtyard/garage is a bitRead more tight but free around the green in Oriel Crescent otherwise (Did not see any signs to the contrary and I managed to not get a ticket for the couple of days I was parked there!). The house is lovely and big - room enough for six. Amazing location easy walk into town and beach. Shops not far away, I have put some steps in. Everything you need is here too would definately come again

The cottage was of good size and cleaned to a good standard. The freezer was in desperate need of defrosting and we had to chip away a lot of ice to use it. We did make a note of this in the maintenance book. However, the towels that were put out for our use on the bed fell short of expectation. I noted brown marks on them and was not entirely Read moresure what to think this may have been. It could quite simply been a burn make but, I was not sure and located other towels in the house to use. I left a note for house keeping about this also. However the house was well appointed and we did enjoy our stay and would book again if in this location. Hide
