This beautiful one-bedroom cottage, set all on one level, is found within the spacious grounds of Silkstone Hall in Hinderwell on the Yorkshire coast. Just 1 mile from the beautiful seaside village of Runswick Bay and only a short drive to the many other surrounding coastal resorts like Staithes (2 miles), Saltburn-by-the-Sea (11 miles) and Whitby (8.5 miles), this cottage is the perfect base for a romantic break away and for exploring the area.

The cottage has been furnished to a high standard and features a spacious open-plan living area, offering modern appliances mixed with lovely unique and traditional features such as a wood burner and exposed brickwork. Settle on the two-seater sofa and switch on the Smart TV or cook together in the well-equipped kitchen, getting a meal ready that can be enjoyed at the quaint wooden dining table. The luxurious and comfortably furnished double bedroom is the ideal place to rest after a busy day and there is an en-suite shower room for refreshing yourselves day or night. A separate laundry room holds a washer/dryer and a freezer and outside, there is a large shared garden with a patio area for BBQing dinner in nice weather.

Hinderwell is a small village between Runswick Bay and Staithes. The village has a great amount of community spirit and residents take part in an annual scarecrow competition which makes for fun family viewing as the creations line villager's gardens and businesses. There are many amenities including a butcher, a post office, a village hall, a fish and chip shop, two pubs and tennis courts. Hinderwell is an ideal base for walking holidays as it is close to many coastal walking routes, including the Cleveland Way National Trail. Landscape Cottage is a little gem. I was greeted by Laura and a basket of treats for me and the dog. Plus bread, milk and wine. Its in a very lovely place, just right to get away, rest and relax. Easy access to beaches, places of interest and Whitby. A folder with lots of information on the area, places of interest, buses. We loved the comfort and care shown to us in the cottage and by Laura and David. Fresh scones during our stay and free use of the washing machine were wonderful. The location was just right for the walking we wanted to do. Thank you.

Very comfortable, very clean, well-appointed cottage, close to the beautiful North Yorkshire coast. Perfect for a stay at any time of the year. It was lovely and warm even without the log burner.

We loved this property, ideal location for exploring the east coast. The property owners Laura and David are a lovely couple, and the welcome pack was a lovely surprise, they even included treats for our dogs. And left homemade Rocky Road what a treat.
