A true gem located in an exceptionally picturesque setting; this stone-built cottage provides characterful accommodation for groups of up to four. You’ll have convenient access to a pub and shop within 0.5 miles, and plenty more options for eating and shopping 1 mile away in Hawes. Keen walkers will be delighted to discover the famous Pennine Way runs through Hawes, too. You’re welcome to bring two pets, along, too – they’ll love leading the way on pretty treks taking in rivers, valleys, hills and streams of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

You’ll enter the property into the homely lounge/diner, a captivating space with gorgeous ceiling beams and an impressive stone fireplace. Spark up the wood burner to create a cosy ambience for you and your fellow guests, perhaps watching a film on the Smart TV or relaxing with a book. The kitchen has units in cheerful pale turquoise and a handy breakfast bar for perching with snacks. Head out the stable door to reach the patio, a glorious paved space with a table and chairs for sipping morning coffee or dining alfresco.

Gayle has the pretty Hawes Beck running through it, creating a series of waterfalls that provide a scenic backdrop to your stay. Nearby you can visit the Grade II* listed Gayle Mill (150 metres) or pick up some delicious local cheese at the Wensleydale Creamery (500 metres). In the market town of Hawes, spend a morning wandering around independent shops before popping in for a cuppa or visiting the countryside museum. Lovely cottage in a great location. Had everything we needed and some lovely little touches - really thoughtfully put together by the owners. An ideal spot for exploring the Dales.

Had a great week seeing lots of lovely places. Cottage was well equipped and comfortable. Short walk to Hawes which is lovely. Excellent walks from the door. Outdoor furniture was broken so not usable and parking is difficult. Very narrow and have to park down the road. This should be made clearer on the details.

Lovely comfortable cottage, myself and my husband had a lovely week their. There are plenty of walks and only a 5 minute walk into Hawes via the road or a couple of different footpaths, plenty of places to eat, the "Wensleydale Pantry" is really good for reasonably priced food served all day, the White Hart is very good but expensive, The Fountain Read morewas good pub grub, plus beer in both spot on. There's The little White bus" which you can catch from Gayle which either goes to Garsdale Train Station or the other way to Leyburn with plenty of stops en-route, we used it quite a bit.. The cottage was cosy and the bed was very comfortable. Would stay there again. Hide

Have stayed at this property before. Comfortable still good, but kitchen less well equipped. Eg. No whisk, only 3 large mugs, very basic wine glasses, no fruit bowl.Garden furniture now very weathered, one chair broken and very difficult to open from folded.

We had a lovely stay - it's a great cottage, really well equipped and cosy. Enjoyed walking to Hardraw, around Clapham and around Castle Bolton. All walks from the great location here.
