This lodge is a luxury log-cabin style three-bedroomed property in the coastal village of Runswick Bay on the Yorkshire coast. It benefits from an enclosed wraparound deck on two sides with the south-facing deck fully furnished for lounging or eating alfresco. It’s approximately 500 metres to the Cleveland Way and the sandy beach so you can plan plenty of lovely days out.
Set in an exclusive walled and gated development, you’ll need to climb four steps up to the property. Enter and you’ll find the hallway and adjoining utility room with kitchen units, seating and a washing machine. The spacious open-plan kitchen/dining room/lounge is full of handy mod-cons for cooking delicious meals for your tribe. Meals that can be eaten at either the breakfast bar with stools or the dining table for six. For lounging after your meal, there are two three-seater sofas, an armchair and a TV with a DVD player. From here, you can also reach the decking via two sets of double doors. A second hallway brings you to the three bedrooms: an en-suite king-size and two twins. The twins have use of the family bathroom. Outside, there is the aforementioned decking and also some grassy spaces beyond the lodge.
Runswick Bay has two pubs, both offering good homemade food and beautiful sea views from the beer gardens. At the beach, there is a wide range of facilities including public toilets, car parking, a café, and kayaks/stand-up paddleboards for hire in the summer months. The Yorkshire coast is famous for its beauty and is popular for fossil hunting. Runswick Bay is a charming village with an easy drive to popular seaside locations such as Whitby (9 miles), Robin Hood’s Bay (14 miles), Staithes (2.5 miles) and Saltburn (11 miles) as well as the picturesque North York Moors (5 miles).
