Property code: OC-R580

Just minutes from the beach, this charming cottage is set in the heart of picturesque Robin Hood’s Bay. Historic features blend beautifully with modern comforts, and it boasts a sun-trap patio as well as three bedrooms, making it ideal for couples, friends and families, plus a canine companion, too.

Full of character, this appealing getaway is set over three storeys and its original features include exposed beams, wooden floors, lovely fireplaces and cottage-style staircases. The open-plan living space includes a compact kitchen area - with a cooker, butler’s sink, fridge/freezer and a microwave in a cupboard, an extendable dining table, a large sofa and a Smart TV. A wood-burner-effect gas stove creates a cosy atmosphere in chilly weather. One of the double bedrooms is on the first floor, boasting a beautiful metal bed and an antique chest of drawers; next door is the family bathroom with a shower over the bath. On the second floor there’s another double bedroom and a bunk-bed room for two, with hanging space on the landing. The sun-trap patio has seating - ideal for some quiet moments in the fresh air. From here, stone steps lead up to a bonus space: a lovely garden room which, while unheated, boasts an ornamental fireplace and a large table and chairs.

The steeply sloping streets of Robin Hood’s Bay are dotted with lovely shops, pubs and places to eat, and lead down to a historic dock and a picturesque beach. Walkers will love the choice of scenic strolls and hikes, whether along the coast path or heading inland. You can reach Ravenscar and its seal colony in 4 miles, or Whitby with its many attractions in 6 miles. For a family day out, Scarborough, 16 miles, has a water park and a sea-life centre.

Lovely cosy cottage in a quieter street of the Bay which is nice, the garden room and outside space are an added bonus, especially if you have a dog with you, the living flame gas fire is lovely, and the beds are comfy. Not suitable unless you are fully mobile as it has the winding staircase typical of many traditional bay cottages

A nice cottage in great location. Kitchen well equipped. Garden room was handy to have but not particularly easy to get around with such a large table in. Would be nice to have some soft seating in there.

A beautiful old cottage in a great position The garden is a suntrap, we had a happy afternoon chatting outside drinking prossecco, and the garden room is a lovely place to eat, when its too cold to stay outside. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds are super comfy. The village shop is close and really well stocked. I'd love to stay heRead morere again Hide
