With three bedrooms, a large, enclosed garden and parking, this appealing bungalow at the top of popular Robin Hood’s Bay is a great destination for a family holiday, and may be suitable for people with limited mobility, too. After a day exploring the beach, come back and enjoy a meal on the patio or, in the winter, you can snuggle by the warming wood burner.
This comfortable property has a real home-from-home feeling and is tastefully decorated in muted tones throughout. Choose between relaxing in the lovely conservatory - a perfect spot for a glass of wine and a good book - or the spacious lounge/diner, where large sofas surround a TV with Freeview and a DVD. After supper at the dining table set at one end, you can cosy up by the wood burner on cooler nights. The kitchen has plenty of cupboards and worktop space, with all the equipment you need to create delicious snacks and meals. The handsome double bedrooms boasts masses of storage space for clothes, and there’s also a twin room, a family bathroom and - off a second hallway - a generously sized single room, which boasts pretty stained-glass windows, a TV and an en-suite wet room. Enjoy the enclosed garden with its lawn surrounded by shrubs and plants, plus a raised patio with outdoor furniture for al fresco meals in the sunshine.
The picturesque fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay is set on Yorkshire’s Heritage Coast and boasts a pretty beach - great for rock-pooling and fossil-hunting - and steep, cobbled streets that are dotted with interesting shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. For a family day out, head inland to the beautiful Sneaton Forest and admire the Falling Foss waterfall, 5 miles, where there’s also a tea garden with a small children’s play area.
