Escape to an elegant and homely cottage with a laid-back boho feel, coastal views from the roof terrace and original features like timber floors and original fireplaces. Spend quality time with your small family or the other half at the beach, delving into the local history of Whitby and dining out at the seafood restaurants on your doorstep.

Walk through the entrance room into the tranquil lounge which is decorated with calming purples, reds and blues. Put your feet up on the sofa beneath the chandelier lighting in front of the TV and ornamental fireplace. Prepare a hearty meal for your guests in the bright, neutral-toned kitchen/diner with a farmhouse-style ‘L’-shaped unit and a matching wooden dining table with seating for four. A family bathroom and two bedrooms are spread across the first and second floor – consisting of a king-size with access to the roof terrace and a twin room. Outside is a stylish curved roof terrace with a bistro set.

During your stay in the heart of Whitby, you’ll be surrounded by cosy cafes, restaurants and quirky shops (within 0.5 miles). Stroll along the riverside to reach the West Pier and Whitby Beach (both within 0.5 miles). Go on a self-guided walking tour of the historical landmarks such as the Whalebone Arch, the 199 Steps and the imposing Whitby Abbey (all within 0.5 miles). Spend an afternoon swinging at tees at Whitby Golf Club (1.5 miles) or stroll along the seafront to reach Sandsend Beach (2 miles). You could also visit Whitby Museum, the Dracula Experience and the Captain Cook Memorial Museum (all within 0.5 miles).

We absolutely loved our stay at Coral Cottage and would love to return next year. Perfect location and lovely views from the roof terrace. Well equipped and very good working kitchen, we made some lovely meals and was great having an hot oven that many other rentals we have stayed at fail in!

The cottage is well presented and the icing on the cake is the roof terrace, each day took advantage off this, sat having coffee or a drink on each of the days we stayed. No complaints at all about the Coral Cottage what so ever, all good. Recommend the Trenchers Restaurant over the bridge for fish and chips ( unbelievable) also recommend The FoRead moreur Seasons for a good meal, restaurant also over the bridge Hide

We were extremely satisfied and had a wonderful time in the cottage & Whitby. The cottage had everything we needed, was lovely decorated and the location is great.

Wonderful stay at Coral Cottage with our friends. Cottage had everything we needed, it was just perfect, very cozy and comfortable. Great location to get around Whitby, the car permit was a bonus too. The view from the bedroom and balcony was amazing to wake up to with the sea and the Abbey. We all loved our stay and would recommend to our friends Read moreand family. Next time we are in Whitby we will definitely book again, loved it. Hide

We had a brilliant stay at this cottage! It was spotlessly clean, had all the equipment you could need and was decorated in a really lovely way with lots of interesting things to look at and beautiful artwork everywhere. The cottage also has a terrace on the top floor which was accessed from the bedroom. It's a great addition to sit and relax and tRead moreake in the fantastic view of Whitby and the Abbey. On arrival there was a welcome hamper with wine, biscuits, coffee etc and milk in the fridge. This was a really lovely touch. The location of the cottage is also great - 2 minute walk from the harbour! We hired bikes one day from a company called Bayhire based in Scarborough. They delivered the bikes to the start of the Cinder track in Whitby and from there you can cycle to Robin Hoods Bay or even Scarborough if you're feeling fit enough! We ate at Trenchers fish and chip restaurant and The Vault, both were great. We will definitely stay at this cottage again, it was perfect! Hide

We love Coral Cottage - it's our second visit in November and we've just booked for a third. Its position is perfect, close to town but so quiet! It's nicely furnished with personal touches, and has everything you need in the kitchen. The crowning glory for us though is the upstairs terrace with views of harbour and abbey; great for a glass of wineRead more before dinner or a mug of tea in the morning! A couple of practical points - there's a vertically split front door and very narrow hall, and two flights of curving wooden stairs to the top floor, so those with mobility problems might find it challenging. It would also be hard to sit round the kitchen table if there were four people. But for us it is just perfect, a home from home in one of our favourite towns. Hide

Coral cottage was a great holiday cottage. It was comfortably furnished, with a well stocked kitchen! It also has the best views from its roof balcony. A lovely escape for the week.

A perfect holiday property. The minor reduction is just because we would ideally have liked a washer dryer as it rained for much of the week and we couldn't easily dry laundry.
