Property code: OC-R031

In the heart of the old village of Robin Hood’s Bay, this cosy fisherman’s cottage has gorgeous sea views from its raised deck and is cosy and comfortable inside. Full of character, it’s set over three storeys and makes a fantastic getaway for couples or small families.

The cottage has an unusual layout, with the bedrooms on the ground and top floors and the living space in between, all joined by cottage-style spiral wooden staircases. The double bedroom on the ground floor has pretty beams and wooden furniture, ample storage space and an en-suite WC. On the second floor you’ll find the twin bedroom - with a beamed and sloping ceiling - as well as the compact family shower room. The lounge/diner and the kitchen are both on the first floor. Here you can conjure up delicious meals and, afterwards, get comfortable on the sofa and armchairs around the ornamental fireplace, perhaps choosing a DVD to watch on the TV, playing a board game or listening to some music. Whether you want to enjoy the sun, share a glass of wine or take a meal outside, the decked patio is a beautiful spot from which you can gaze out and relish the stunning views while you relax.

Picturesque Robin Hood’s Bay is set on Yorkshire’s Heritage Coast, on the edge of the North York Moors. Take time to explore its steeply sloping, cobbled streets, where you’ll find interesting independent shops and a variety of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Why not go on a guided tour and learn all about the village’s smuggling history? If you want to head out there are scenic walks all around, including the Cleveland Way along the coast and the Cinder Track, a 6-mile walk which takes you all the way to Whitby.

The view from Storm cottage was stunning. We never got tired of the scenery. A very cosy cottage. It certainly kept us fit getting to it everyday. The village shop is near which is very convenient.

What a wonderful cottage! On arrival, we were all speechless at the view - the location is amazing. The cottage was comfortable, clean and quirky (on three levels) with a fascinating history. We absolutely loved our stay, although very close to Whitby and other interesting spots like Falling Foss most days we were happy to stay and explore Robin HoRead moreods Bay. Beautiful walks in either direction along the coast and cinder trail. I would thoroughly recommend a holiday here and hope to visit again! Hide

The location is brilliant (although accessibility would be difficult for some people). Loved the terrace overlooking the sea.

Cant beat the location! It is magnificent (if tricky to find the first time). We loved our stay! The cotrage is very basic with a full kitchen but lacking bath towels. The beds are very comfortable and the views are unbeatable! I would recommend staying here but be prepared to bring your own towels and maybe a bit of a hunt for the cottage the firsRead moret time.
