In the heart of the old village of Robin Hood’s Bay, this cosy fisherman’s cottage has gorgeous sea views from its raised deck and is cosy and comfortable inside. Full of character, it’s set over three storeys and makes a fantastic getaway for couples or small families.
The cottage has an unusual layout, with the bedrooms on the ground and top floors and the living space in between, all joined by cottage-style staircases. The double bedroom on the ground floor has pretty beams and wooden furniture, ample storage space and an en-suite WC. On the second floor you’ll find the twin bedroom - with a beamed and sloping ceiling - as well as the compact family shower room. The lounge/diner and the kitchen are both on the first floor. Here you can conjure up delicious meals and, afterwards, get comfortable on the sofa and armchairs around the ornamental fireplace, perhaps choosing a DVD to watch on the TV, playing a board game or listening to some music. Whether you want to enjoy the sun, share a glass of wine or take a meal outside, the decked patio is a beautiful spot from which you can gaze out and relish the stunning views while you relax.
Picturesque Robin Hood’s Bay is set on Yorkshire’s Heritage Coast, on the edge of the North York Moors. Take time to explore its steeply sloping, cobbled streets, where you’ll find interesting independent shops and a variety of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Why not go on a guided tour and learn all about the village’s smuggling history? If you want to head out there are scenic walks all around, including the Cleveland Way along the coast and the Cinder Track, a 6-mile walk which takes you all the way to Whitby.
