Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Yorkshire countryside with a memorable stay in this gorgeous hideaway. Sleeping two guests in one bedroom, this is the perfect setting for a romantic break. It enjoys a peaceful location within the picturesque village of Ruswarp, just 2 miles from the coastal town of Whitby – so, you can experience the best of the countryside and coast during your break.

Upon walking inside this beautiful cottage, head up the stairs to the first floor where you will find the stylish and spacious open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining room. Natural light pours in from the floor-to-ceiling concertina-style sliding doors, giving you the perfect setting for a romantic evening – cook up a meal for two in the kitchen area, then retire to the lounge to snuggle up around the wood burner and watch a film on the Smart TV. Head back downstairs to the ground floor when night falls to tuck yourselves beneath the sheets of the king-size bed – this bedroom also boasts concertina doors to allow the sunlight to stream through in the mornings. There's also an en-suite bathroom. Outside, there’s a patio with seating, plus a balcony with a table and chairs for you to sit and admire the stunning views. There's also a shared laundry area with a washing machine and dryer.

In the village, have a wander along the Monk's Trod walking trail, take a boat ride along the River Esk, or indulge in a treat in the local tearoom. Venture to Whitby (2 miles) and you'll find a variety of exciting activities to keep you busy. Try out the Eskape escape room, take in the magnificent views from Whitby Abbey or have a tipple of the handcrafted Whitby gin. If you're looking for something a little further afield, Scarborough is 18.5 miles away. Jump into the cold North Sea waves for a surfing lesson or explore the largest castle in the region.
