Just 3 miles away, Ravenstonedale provides family-friendly amenities such as a playground and a welcoming country inn. For a day of exploration, visit the nearby Pendragon Castle (4.5 miles), rich with King Arthur's legend, or head to Smardale Gill Nature Reserve (6 miles), where you can spot birds and butterflies along a former railway line with a stunning viaduct – ideal for capturing lasting holiday memories.

Walking in through the ornate front door you are welcomed into the open-plan kitchen/diner – the real hub of this retreat. Next door the bedroom beckons, with a king-sized bed and plenty of storage, with skylights and original beams overhead. Outside to the front, there is a shared patio with seating and a Victorian garden to enjoy, along with ample walks to the fells from the doorstep. Sit outside to dine alfresco with enchanting views all around. Parking is available for one car and can be found just outside the gates.
