Situated between the villages of Ravenstonedale and Kirkby Stephen within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this beautiful cottage is an ideal retreat for couples or solo travellers who love being in nature. The property is an excellent choice for those who appreciate the picturesque countryside, quaint villages, food markets, and historical sites of Yorkshire. The vibrant market town of Kirkby Stephen, in the pretty Eden Valley of Cumbria, is 6 miles away. The surrounding region offers many outdoor activities, from hiking to cycling and horse riding along scenic country roads.

Step through the ornate front door into a welcoming contemporary open-plan kitchen/diner. This spacious setting is ideal for spending quality time together. Cook in a charming kitchen with all the appliances to make meal preparation a breeze. Enjoy evenings snuggled on the plush sofas while watching your favourite box set on the Smart TV. Along the hallway is the characterful king-size bedroom with exposed wooden beams. The bathroom is the perfect place to soak after a day of adventure. Outside, you can enjoy a private rear garden with seating, ideal for a morning coffee. There is also a shared patio area with seating at the front of the property. Stroll through the delightful Victorian garden or head out to the fells from your doorstep. You can find parking for one car just beyond the gate.

Delve into the local history with a unique experience at Pendragon Castle (4.5 miles), famous for its associations with the legend of King Arthur, or head for a gentle walk at Smargill Nature Reserve (6 miles) where you can spot butterflies and birds along the old railway line and take in the Smardale Gill Viaduct. There are plenty of waterfalls to enjoy in the area, with Cautley Spout (6 miles) and Cotter Force (15 miles) being two that are well worth a visit. Near Cautley Spout, you will find trails that will climb up to the peaks of The Calf and Yarlside.

We had a lovely stay and your property and especially the grounds are something special. Thank you for all the thoughtful touches. It was great to have things like kitchen roll and silver foil and the welcome basket contents we're delicious!

This accommodation is 5* very high spec property and a wonderful welcoming place to stay. Some fantastic pubs and amazing food all within 15mins drive but very pretty location.
