Perfect for families and groups of friends with up to two dogs in tow, this delightful, stone-built property sits in the peaceful village of Faceby, on the edge of the North York Moors. Lovers of the outdoors will enjoy the property’s direct access into an enchanting woodland where long walks await, and in Spring, vibrant bluebells create a delightful environment for adventures together. Nearby, explore the bustling market town of Stokesley (5 miles) with its quaint shops and cafes, or visit Great Ayton (7.5 miles), known for its links to Captain Cook. The expansive North York Moors provide endless opportunities for hiking and stunning vistas. While days on the coast are just a short drive away, with the historic seaside towns of Whitby and Saltburn-by-the-Sea (both within 18 miles) offering sandy beaches and traditional amusements.

Located on a working farm, this peaceful cottage sits in an elevated position, offering stunning views across the hills and countryside. Drive up through the farm and park right outside the cottage where private spaces for up to three cars await. Step inside, kick off muddy walking boots in the porch, and head into the hallway which leads to the cottage’s social heart – the open-plan kitchen/diner with a welcoming seating area. The seating area boasts sumptuous sofas set beside the glowing wood burner, as well as a wall-mounted Smart TV for easy entertainment. When stomachs start to rumble, find that the well-equipped kitchen boasts all you need to whip up feasts for the group, who can enjoy the chef’s work at the traditional dining table by the window, or al fresco-style out on the patio. Guests will also find a handy utility space here. When day turns to night, choose from three delightful bedrooms – a king-size with an en-suite shower room, a welcoming double and a flexible twin that can be converted into a super-king-size on request. A family shower room serves the non-en-suite bedrooms. Upstairs, the lounge dominates the floor and offers even better views of the surrounding pastureland. Relax on the large, comfy sofas, unwind with your favourite book, watch a film on the Smart TV, or partake in family board games.

Outside, a private garden with vibrant lavender and pretty flowers provides a lovely scent and visual appeal. A large outdoor dining table and chairs set beneath a pergola is perfect for summer dining with loved ones, made even more memorable thanks to the charcoal BBQ.

Owners were very friendly and helpful. Cottage has amazing views over surrounding countryside. Eggs fresh from the farm were available on arrival in addition to milk , cake , biscuits and Yorkshire tea bags. We would certainly stay again.
