Set in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, this lovely period house offers a perfect base for families or friends to share a wonderful holiday or special occasion. The spacious, stone-built property in the pretty hamlet of Thorpe sleeps eight guests and two canine chums. Brimming with original features, it has glorious views across the countryside, plus a delightful garden with a hot tub. You’ll find scenic walking trails from the front door, with many more in the picture-postcard villages of Grassington and Burnsall, both within 2 miles.
Original beams and exposed stonework form a backdrop to superb furnishings in muted shades of grey. Share meals around the farmhouse dining table in the roomy kitchen and relax on sumptuous sofas before a wood burner in the cosy lounge. A ground-floor king-size bedroom can easily be converted into a snug. Upstairs, discover a luxurious bathroom and three splendid bedrooms: a king-size and two super-king-size, one of which can be made into twin beds. Outside, the garden offers seating areas, a fire pit and an outdoor kitchen with a gas BBQ. Enjoy a refreshing outdoor shower, or a soak in the hot tub as you admire the lovely views.
Browse Grassington’s quaint streets and the fascinating Folk Museum before enjoying a drink and snack at one of the village cafes or traditional pubs. Hire an E-bike for car-free sightseeing and visit the National Park Visitor Centre for a wealth of useful information, with bus timetables across the Dales. A 1.5-mile stroll takes you to the beautiful River Wharfe and photogenic Linton Falls, and you can see the river again at historic Bolton Abbey (8 miles).
