While away summer afternoons in the immaculate outside space at this gorgeous barn conversion in the Yorkshire Dales. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom, stone retreat is ideal for larger groups seeking to spend some special time away together. Situated 7.5 miles from Ripon, it has a wood burner for autumn and winter evenings and a BBQ so you can cook out under the stars in summer.

Make your way in to shuffle off your shoes and shed your outerwear in the hall. Stroll on through to the airy kitchen/diner to unpack the fresh provisions you have bought, put the kettle on and sit up at the breakfast bar with a cup of tea, with the courtyard door open to bring in a summer breeze. There is also a table in here where you can dine. Unwind together through in the impressive lounge/diner, with its plush seating and high vaulted and beamed ceiling. Light the wood burner in the beautiful stone fireplace in here on chilly days and find your favourite show on the Smart TV. A utility room, a family wet room and a WC are also downstairs, together with two of your bedrooms. These include a king-size and a double. Two more bedrooms, each with super-king-size beds that can also be set up as singles if discussed in advance, are on the first floor of the barn, along with a family bathroom. Spill out into the enclosed garden on fine days to play games with the children, picnic in the sunshine and savour the serenity of your surroundings.

Venture 10 miles to the impressive ruins of Jervaulx Abbey or 23 miles to spend time at the renowned Aysgarth Falls. Take the children to the Forbidden Corner, 17 miles away, with its attractive gardens and many tunnels, caves and follies.

Very high standard accommodation in a gorgeous location with easy access to a wide variety of things to see and do in the wider area. The owners have provided everything you need for great family holiday and the animals around the property will entertain children and adults alike. A beautiful accommodation, so clean and comfortable set in a perfect location for exploring the various attractions nearby. The accommodation was tastefully decorated and provided everything a family would want for a perfect holiday. We absolutely loved our stay.

Simon and Natalie were brilliant hosts . The cottage was beautiful. We had everything we needed and more and will certainly be returning for another holiday at Curlew Farm .
