Return from your explorations of Ripon and Nidderdale to the comfort of this dog-friendly retreat. Sleeping six guests, the three-bedroom holiday home nestles at the heart of the small cathedral city and is a welcoming place to return to at any time of year. With a wood burner for warming chilly feet and paws after long walks, it also has a charming courtyard garden, where you can soak up the sunshine during the summer months.

Enter this delightful, four-storey, red-brick cottage, which is ideal for couples or families. Spread out into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Gather at the lounge end to play games or watch the Smart TV, stoking up the wood burner during the autumn and winter months. Unpack the fresh Yorkshire provisions you have bought in the city in the kitchen area, then rustle up a feast on the gorgeous, blue range-style oven. Serve up at the table then make a fresh cup of coffee in the machine for those who want one. Close the double doors between the lounge and kitchen/diner when you choose. The younger members of the parties may wish to go down to the games room in the basement. A WC is also down here. When you are ready to turn in for the night, make your way to the upper levels of the house. One of your king-size bedrooms and a twin are on the first floor, together with the family bathroom. The remaining king-size bedroom is up on the second floor, completing the interior. Enjoy afternoon tea out in the courtyard garden on warm afternoons or a sundowner on summer evenings.

Find fabulous walks and cycle rides through glorious Nidderdale and the magnificent Yorkshire Dales. Visit the National Trust’s Studley Royal Park, 5 miles away, to wander through the beautiful grounds and see the ruins of Fountains Abbey.

This is a lovely property- clean, well equipped and beautifully furnished, well looked after. The location is excellent- still quiet but easy walking distance from supermarkets and restaurants/pubs etc. lovely outside sitting area was a real bonus. Would definitely stay again and would recommend.

Lovely cottage. very well equipped and great location and base .A very short walk to local shops and restaurants and the Cathedral. You might think the location would be busy or have noise issues but it's the opposite.
