Slip into a slower pace of life in this idyllic cottage in the small Yorkshire town of Meltham. Sleeping four guests across three bedrooms, the cottage is ideal for a small family or group of friends holidaying together. The property is on the edge of the Peak District National Park, making it a fantastic base for outdoor enthusiasts. There are also some beautiful walks to explore in and around the town, including at Folly Dolly Falls, just 1 mile from the cottage.

The attractive stone cottage still retains many of its original features, which sit alongside colourful interiors and homely accessories. The welcoming lounge is a delightful place to unwind, with its plump sofas and eye-catching decor. Spend time here, reading your book or catching up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. The elegant kitchen/diner carefully combines contemporary units with characterful exposed stonework. Come together here, to whip up delicious feasts for the group to share together at the stylish dining table. Upstairs, three tastefully decorated bedrooms await, along with a family bathroom. Outside, bask in the sunshine in the enclosed courtyard, where you can dine alfresco and admire the views across the rooftops to the rugged peaks in the distance.

The pretty village of Slaithwaite is just 2.5 miles away and has a great range of cafes and restaurants. After a bite to eat, enjoy relaxing walks along the towpath of the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. The picture-postcard town of Holmfirth (4 miles) also makes a lovely day out, with its cobbled streets and historic buildings. The town became famous as the filming location for the TV classic Last of the Summer Wine, and you’ll find many references to the show throughout the town. For a day of retail therapy, Huddersfield is just 5.5 miles away.

Great property in convenient location to visit Manchester, Leeds, Peak District and lots of other fab locations. Property has been nicely refurbished. Good Indian round the corner and close to supermarket and pubs
