The picture-postcard town of Holmfirth (4 miles) also makes a lovely day out, with its cobbled streets and historic buildings. The town became famous as the filming location for the TV classic Last of the Summer Wine, and you’ll find many references to the show throughout the town. For a day of retail therapy, Huddersfield is just 5.5 miles away.
