An elegant stone property with a leafy walled garden, nestled within the rolling landscape of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. This beautiful barn conversion is the perfect escape for small families or couples and their four-pawed travel buddy. Glide across the iconic Ribblehead Viaduct aboard the Settle to Carlise train (6.5 miles) before kicking back with a bottle of fizz and nibbles on the sunny patio garden.

This thoughtfully styled property boasts a spacious interior with bright social spaces, vibrant soft furnishings, and open-plan living. Unravel outer layers in the entrance hall and towel off soggy paws before venturing into the heart of the home. Sink onto the soft seats and refuel with a post-adventure afternoon tea. Flick through the Smart TV or throw open the patio doors to bask in the crisp country breeze. As the evening draws in, step into the large kitchen/diner. Rustle up a spread to be enjoyed around the large dining table. When night falls, enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep in the two elegant bedrooms with striking curved patio doors. Choose from a light-flooded king with an en-suite, and a generously sized twin. Soak up some morning sun with an al fresco breakfast in the secluded patio garden or fire up the BBQ for an afternoon feast.

Adventurers will be in their element strolling beneath the imposing limestone of Malham Cove (3.5 miles) and discovering the mysterious landscape of Scaleber Force Waterfall (5 miles). Stayed in the Byre at Townend Farm from 13th to 20th July. Lovely, comfortable, clean and very spacious for 2 couples and all on one level once down the stone steps. Kitchen well equipped with everything that we needed and nice welcome pack including milk and a bottle of wine etc., Farm/gift shop and tea room next door with a good choice of food, iRead mores lovely and allows dogs. Very peaceful area to stay, plenty of walks and places to visit further afield if you also want a day out in car. Hide

Had a lovely week at the cottage which was roomy and comfortable. The farm shop and cafe were great. There is a lovely walk from the cottages along the Pennine way to Malham (only a couple of miles). We got out and about - Malham Cove and Gordale scar, Bolton Abbey, Skipton Woods and Skipton itself, Grassington river walk, etc..

A very nice spacious cottage in a lovely area, although close to the lane, noise was not an issue and very quiet at night. We will definitely be back.
