This delightful North Yorkshire retreat is part of a remote semi-detached home, located around 4 miles from the charming town of Malton. Thanks to its convenient location, you’ll be able to enjoy the bliss of the countryside and the convenience of the town’s amenities, including pubs, cafés and shops. With space for four to six guests, it’s wonderful for a family trip or holiday among friends and their children.

With a traditional look and feel, this homely property gives you an authentic Yorkshire experience with modern facilities like underfloor heating and a Nespresso coffee machine in the kitchen. The place has an open-play layout so you can relax with fellow guests, sinking into the large sofa or snug easy chair and enjoying the warmth of the wood burner. The decor is a delightful mix of modern and Scandinavian influences, and through the windows you’ll be able to view grazing ponies across the stream. Upstairs, the two king-size bedrooms each boast original fireplaces and scenic vistas. A third bedroom, perfect for the little ones, offers a cot and toddler bed, with views over pastoral fields. The joy doesn’t stop there – in the vast south-facing garden, furnished with a wooden bench and loungers, offers a serene spot to admire the Yorkshire Wolds.

From your doorstep, embark on enchanting local walks, perhaps starting by checking out the gorgeous Menethorpe Suspension Bridge (0.5 miles). With the Howardian Hills AONB starting just beyond that, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to discovering pretty scenery. Malton is the proclaimed 'Food Capital of Yorkshire', so naturally there are plenty of excellent places to eat, as well as monthly food markets and food festivals in the spring and autumn. You may also enjoy a day trip to York, for excellent shopping (15.5 miles) and a visit to its iconic Minster.
