Book a Yorkshire stay in this characterful period property in Copmanthorpe, a friendly village just 5 miles from the centre of York. It’s a beautifully luxurious home, renovated to an exceptional standard for a pleasant and memorably stay. With three bedrooms, it’s fantastic for families or groups of friends who like their surroundings to be classy and stylish. Less than 150 metres away you’ll have a local café, Indian restaurant, a pub and a handy little supermarket, putting everything you need within easy reach.

This home has a charming cottage feel to it, with gorgeous dark ceiling beams and stylish rustic-inspired furniture. In the cosy lounge, a large brick fireplace (although not functioning) creates a traditional look, while sofas and a Smart TV are on hand for relaxing nights in. The dark beams and exposed brick continue into the kitchen-diner, a gorgeous, light-filled space with a farmhouse-style kitchen area and a circular table for enjoying meals together. A little further on, an outdoor-indoor space creates another spot for kicking back, with an egg chair for dreamy lounging. Outside, you’ll have a lovely mature garden with flowers and lawn space – not to mention a large covered hot tub for six with LED lighting.

When it’s time to explore your surroundings, drive or catch the bus into York to explore cobblestone streets and visit independent traders at Shambles Market (daily). History aficionados will love discovering the iconic gothic Minster the Jorvik Viking Centre, while shoppers will appreciate the York Designer Outlet (5 miles), which sits on the city’s outskirts. If you’re keen for a rural adventure, enjoy local walks through pretty countryside taking in open fields, stiles and old railway bridges – many start and end at the village pub.
