Enjoy an unforgettable escape at this charming stone cottage sitting in the pretty market town of Appleby. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms, it's a great accommodation option for small families or groups of friends searching for a cosy hideaway to call their own while they discover the beautiful county of Cumbria together. Spend a lovely day exploring one of England's largest stone circles, Long Meg and Her Daughters, and in the evening, come home to relax with a glass of wine on the cottage’s cobblestone patio area.

Step into the lobby area and make your way into the bright and airy lounge space, which features high ceilings and Velux windows that allow the natural light to flood in. Take a moment to relax and soak up the chic, country-style decor, before taking a single step up to the smart kitchen area. Whip up your favourite meal and enjoy it at the elegant dining table. After dinner, treat yourself to a glass of wine in the kitchen area's quaint snug area, or make your way to the cute cobbled seating area to the front of the cottage and wait for the stars to come out. At the end of the day, descend to the lower ground floor from the kitchen area and you’ll find two modern, country-style bedrooms. Both bedrooms feature super-king-size beds that can be converted into twins upon request, and are served by a well-appointed, stylish family bathroom.

History buffs will love exploring the 12th-century Appleby Castle (1 mile). Stroll along the ramparts, check out one of the few remaining intact Norman keeps in England and see the armour display in the Old Great Hall. Alternatively, grab your camera and head to the captivating waterfalls at the Rutter Force (4 miles).

  • 2 super-king-size bedrooms (both can be made up as twins on request - please let us know two weeks before your arrival)
  • 1 bathroom with shower over the bath and WC
  • Electric Range oven, fridge/freezer, slimline dishwasher and integrated microwave

This is a spacious, modern and bright cottage. It is clean, has comfy beds and TVs in every room. Not the best equipped kitchen and nothing provided to get you started so bring milk, bread and anything you need for cooking. No oils etc. The parking space is very tight but you get used to it!

Fabulous cottage very well equipped with everything you need for a week away. Bed very comfy. Shower amazing. Parking a little awkward as not a very big space outside the cottage. Fine if you have a small car. Good location not far from shops, pubs and eating places.

Wonderful cottage, the kids didn't want to leave. Great location which is walking distance for local amenities and then perfectly placed to get out for the numerous walks and attractions in the area. Will certainly return when in the area again.

Brilliant cottage to stay in, so new, extremely well-equipped and comfortable! Good parking spot right outside too. Also lovely and cosy on chilly days. Would certainly book again! Thank you.

This is a very modern, clean, large cottage. It's like a tardis, very deceiving from the outside, looks quite small and then it opens up as soon as you walk in. Pictures don't do it justice, it's lovely. Brilliant for that getaway. Good location and only a 10-15 min walk to centre of town.
