Escape with your loved ones to this picture-perfect cottage sitting in a pretty complex of properties tucked away in the peaceful village of Embsay. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms, it’s the ideal retreat for families and groups of friends in search of an idyllic retreat to call home while they discover the untamed beauty of the Yorkshire Dales together. Pack up a picnic and find a pretty spot on the banks of the Embsay Reservoir in the day, before returning home to enjoy a glass of something cool and crisp on the cottage’s wonderful patio.

Step into this enchanting country cottage and you’ll find a bright and cheerful, open-plan layout. Take a moment to relax in the quaint living area, where quirky charm, an intricately-designed ceiling and plenty of natural light from the patio doors creates a light and artsy atmosphere. When it’s time to eat, head to kitchen area, where you’ll discover everything you need to inspire your inner-chef. Enjoy your meal at the pretty dining table while taking in sunlight from the patio doors, or head out onto the patio area to dine alfresco. After dinner, take a stroll in the shared garden, or cosy up in the lounge area with a glass of wine. At the end of the day, make your way upstairs and you’ll find two double bedrooms that boast country views from their pretty feature windows. Completing the layout, you'll find a modern shower room.

Immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of Skipton Market (1.5 miles), a vibrant hub where you can find anything from fresh produce to local crafts. While you’re there, take a little time out to explore the towers and dungeons of the 10th-century Skipton Castle. Alternatively, grab your hiking boots and head to The Strid (6 miles) to see the river surge through the narrow gorge.

A pleasant and comfortable cottage in a good position to access tourist spots. We enjoyed the location as it was easy to walk into Skipton and in walking distance of 2 excellent pubs and a shop. The owners were friendly and helpful and made it easy for our puppy to stay by having dog beds, blankets , treats and toys for our use

A lovely little quirky property in a peaceful location off a rough track & well away from the road. Well equipped, & spotlessly clean. On arrival we were met by the friendly owner, she gave us some pointers about the cottage & local area. Small patio outside the door with seating & parking just beyond. Small grassy area for dogs which is shared by Read more4 properties & a nice woodland walk very close by. Both village pubs dog friendly & very welcoming, good food in both. Steam railway a stroll away. Hide

We have just returned from a week at Pine View which we really enjoyed. It was very peaceful, clean and comfortable and very handy for two pubs for evening meals. A lovely week's break.

Lovely cottage off the beaten track, yet close enough to civilisation in both Embsay and Skipton. Comfy beds, quiet surroundings, very dog friendly with great access for walks.

The cottage is in a good location for walking and it was fine for what we needed for a couple of days.
