Close to the banks of the River Nidd, this peaceful country cottage presents an expert blend of country character and modern additions to create a wonderful holiday home for six. Awaiting any group of family or friends, this two-storey cottage invites loved ones and one dog to make endless memories together both at home and amongst the bucolic countryside that surrounds the place. Rock climbing, nature trails, riverside hikes and endless bike rides are on offer in the area, with the local village of Pateley Bridge (3.5 miles) acting as a splendid base with local pubs and shops to frequent.

Original beams, oak furniture and soft floral accents combine to create the rustic appeal of the property, whilst modern kitchen units and bespoke, tiled bathrooms give the abode a contemporary finish. Cosy up together in the warm and welcoming lounge on the ground floor, a space with ample soft seating, a wood burner-effect electric fire and a Smart TV encouraging restful evenings in. When blessed with warm evenings, however, you can take French doors out into the garden and laze around on the furnished patio. Pass through the dining room and past a downstairs WC as you move to the first floor to find three attractive bedrooms; two double bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room, and a cosy twin, served by the well-appointed family bathroom.

The property is situated in the depths of the Nidderdale AONB, surrounded by endless opportunities for Yorkshire Dales walks. Venture up to Brimham Rocks (2 miles), a National Trust-maintained landmark that’s popular with climbers, or to Gouthwaite Reservoir (6 miles) for a picnic by the water. Jump in the car to tour some of the splendid villages that can be found close by, including Bolton Abbey (12.5 miles), Malham (22.5 miles) and Grassington (14 miles).

The cottage was comfortable, clean and well equipped. There is plenty of parking and space for al fresco dinning weather permitting. The patio is rather small and not appreciated by our Labrador but it was easy to walk her from the cottage. There is plenty of parking. There are lots of places to visit and to have good meals out but we were disappoiRead morented by the 'welcome' pack - not even fresh milk! Hide

Lovely clean and well equipped in a great location for trips out. A wardrobe in the second double bedroom would be the only improvement needed.

This is a very comfortable property. Nice and warm, spacious and quiet. We really liked this property. Parking is excellent with room for 4 cars.

A beautiful comfy little cottage. Looks tiny from the outside but its a tardis behind that front door. Very well equipped. Feels so light and airy inside. Location is ideal. Very central to all we wanted to see & do. The sound from the river is so relaxing. We would have no hesitation in booking again.

The house is very comfortably furnished and the kitchen well equipped. There is a Philips coffee maker that takes the standard Nessresso capsules. The owner Jill is in the village if there are any queries or problems. The cottage is very conveniently situated for exploring Nidderdale and Wharfedale.
