A detached property set within beautiful grounds just 10 miles from Chatsworth, one of the most famous country estates in and around the Peak District National Park. The single-storey property features spacious living areas, attractive gardens and the use of a tennis court. With easy access to the area’s astonishing open hills and wooded valleys, market towns and magnificent country houses, it is the perfect base for active groups with various interests.

The stone-fronted property stands in secure grounds just off a country road that winds its way between Mickley and Dronfield Woodhouse. Its large, bright rooms offer plenty of space, allowing guests to unwind in comfort, rooms that are blessed with traditional and rustic soft furnishings surrounded by exposed beams and set across plush carpeted and hard flooring. The lounge bathes in natural light throughout the day, with comfortable seating arranged around all sides, including towards an ornate fireplace. The kitchen/diner is a mixture of the traditional and the contemporary, and offers easy access to the lounge, with both areas enjoying garden views. The en-suite king-size bedroom nearby has a walk-in wardrobe and a dressing room, while the second king-size bedroom shares a Jack and Jill bathroom with a twin bedroom. The enclosed gardens offer bench seating and are surrounded by attractive flower borders and lawned areas. Guests have access to a tennis court by appointment.

As well as being a haven for walkers and cyclists, the Peak District National Park (2 miles) is blessed with an impressive array of market towns, country houses and breathtaking landscapes. Black Moor Nature Reserve (6 miles) is a must for naturalists, Chatsworth House (10 miles) is outstanding throughout the year, while Bakewell, home of the famous pudding, lies 12 miles away.

Beautiful home very well equipped and in the prefect location for exploring the peak district. Exceptionally clean and very well kept, situated in perfect tranquil grounds for peace and quite. We would recommend 100%.

We found this holiday property really spacious and comfortable. Handy location with countryside and local shops nearby. Tennis court was perfect for us. we also enjoyed the armchair recliners.

A lovely comfortable cottage in a good location with easy access to the Peak District and Sheffield, but quiet and peaceful. Very secure with helpful owners with friendly dogs who visited regularly.
