Enjoy a memorable stay in this holiday cottage, one of two adjoining properties beside the owners' small working farm, nestled in the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Set within the village of Brandsby, the magnificent city of York and the North York Moors are both within 12 miles. The beautiful surrounding countryside offers ample walking and cycling opportunities, and within 4 miles are Crayke and Gilling, both with a popular gastropub. The pretty market towns of Easingwold, Helmsley and Thirsk are within 14 miles and offer weekly markets, traditional tearooms, good restaurants, and old-world charm. The surrounding area is steeped in history, with an abundance of abbeys, stately homes and gardens, the best-known being Byland Abbey (8 miles), Castle Howard (10 miles), and Rievaulx Abbey (13 miles).

Take in the rural surroundings as you make your way to the top of the drive. Step inside this lovely, homely cottage into a small hallway where you can hang your coats and leave behind your walking shoes. Head through into the modern kitchen/diner; the kitchen is generously equipped so you can rustle up hearty meals and picnics for your travels, and the dining table is centred for all to enjoy meals together. After dinner, head through into the cosy lounge with sofas set around a wood burner-effect electric fire and relax whilst catching up with a favourite show on the Freeview TV or Amazon Firestick. Climb the open stairs to discover three well-appointed bedrooms: a double, a twin, and a single room, all providing lovely views of the gardens and countryside. Start the day refreshed with a shower in the modern shower room before heading out for your next adventure.

Step out to the lovely mature cottage garden and enjoy your morning coffee on the patio chairs. This is the ideal spot to return to after your long day of exploring, listening to the relaxing sounds of local wildlife.
