The vibrant seaside town of Hornsea is just half a mile away with a large range of small, independent shops for you to browse, or enjoy a meal out at one of the many restaurants. Or you could while away a day at the beach, only 50m from your door. Nearby Hornsea Mere (2 miles), the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire, is well worth a visit and offers sailing, fishing and boat trips. There are many other beautiful coastal towns within easy reach, such as Bridlington (13 miles), and children will love a day at the Deep Aquarium in the nearby city of Hull (16 miles). And don’t forget a visit to the RSPB reserve at Bempton and Flamborough Head (20 miles). There is also the stately home of Burton Constable (10 miles) which offers a full calendar of events throughout the summer.

Head up the exterior steps and enter into the property, leave your coats and shoes in the hall and make your way up the wrap around staircase to the living area. The open-plan living space boasts comfortable leather seating and a cosy wood burner effect electric fire, perfect to sit and relax watching the changing tides or to simply enjoy a drink whilst watching your favourite program on the TV. The modern, well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook up a great family meal after a day on the beach. The dining table is perfectly positioned in the large bay window and is a great place to enjoy a meal and watch the world go by. The double and twin bedrooms are large and roomy and continue the nautical feel throughout this property. The washing machine is cleverly hidden in a side cupboard and the double room has a large walk-in closet.

Although there is no outside space, with the beach so close it’s easy to while away the day paddling or enlarging your collection of shells, or why not take a stroll along the promenade after dinner to prepare you for a great night's sleep.

The loft apartment is very spacious whilst remaining cozy, we had two young children and had plenty of space for them to run around. The host was lovely and the whole process was so easy to book, and much cheaper than airbnb!
