A beautiful detached lodge located on a working farm, deep in West Yorkshire’s peaceful Calder Valley. This stunning part of England is celebrated for its natural beauty in the TV series 'Happy Valley' and 'Gentleman Jack'. You’ll have breathtaking views all around and a selection of excellent walking trails nearby, including the Pennine Way. It’s got room for four guests over two bedrooms, making it ideal for a small family group – and you’re welcome to bring the family pet too.
The outside of this holiday home is made from beautiful wooden panels for an elegant, alpine effect. Set out over one floor, the inside space features a welcoming open-plan living area where dual-aspect windows allow plenty of light in. The decor is light and elegant, with artwork on the light-coloured walls and thoughtful touches throughout. Cook up family meals in the glossy white kitchen, enjoying them either at the dining table or stepping outside to the enclosed patio area. There’s furniture and a BBQ so you can sizzle up fresh-air feasts when the weather’s good. Out the back, make the most of the wide-reaching views over morning coffee while youngsters let off steam on the play set.
You’ll have a pub 1 mile away and a shop 2 miles away in the charming village of Ripponden. The quirky market town of Hebden Bridge (6.5 miles) is well worth the trip, with its independent shops and friendly cafes. The awe-inspiring Baitings Dam and Reservoir (3 miles) is great for scenic walks with its panoramic views. If you’re a TV fan, you may choose to visit the ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ exhibition in Holmfirth (16 miles). The Peak District National Park is also just 13 miles to the south, for when it’s time to pull your hiking boots on.
