From here, step out onto a small, decked terrace at the front that’s perfect for enjoying a sundowner. You’ll also have shared access to the enclosed courtyard garden where you can sizzle up a BBQ or stretch out on the sun beds provided. A path takes you down to the owner’s meadow, where you’re welcome to enjoy the space.
The house is located in the heart of the North York Moors, so it’s an ideal starting point for long and short trails through stunning countryside. Hiking enthusiasts can try out routes around Glaisdale, Egton Bridge and Grosmont (all within 10 miles) each offering gorgeous views of the Esk Valley. In Whitby, enjoy a round of golf or sample some local seafood at one of many excellent eateries. Near Larpool Viaduct (4 miles), on the edge of Whitby, you can also join the Cinder Track, a 22-mile walkable and cyclable route leading to Scarborough via a former railway line.
